Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Compounder to join our growing team. You will be responsible for performing chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale, executing multistep batch production processes for API synthesis, purification, sampling, and finishing, all in strict compliance with cGMP protocols. This role offers the opportunity for growth within the company, with potential to move into a lead position. Comprehensive training, coaching, and development in leadership skills will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and execute via batch record.
• Execute multistep batch production processes for API synthesis, purification, sampling, and finishing in strict compliance with cGMP protocol.
• Maintain documentation standards to meet GMP requirements, including recording of charges/transfers, acknowledging actions performed, and documenting key observations related to specific operations.
• Set up, operate, and clean all plant equipment (e.g. reactors, centrifuges, filter dryers, shelf dryers, milling equipment).
• Participate in staging of raw materials, loading of raw materials into equipment, and unloading of intermediates and products from dryers.
• Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively in a group setting.
• Work with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D API.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Chemical Safety, Quality Control, and Process Chemistry Research & Development, to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of experience in a production facility (chemical, pharmaceutical, or food).
• 2+ Years of Compounder or Batch Mixer experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering preferred.
