Mechanical Engineer - (2 openings! 1 entry/JR level and 1 intermediate level)
Join a growing engineering team supporting the design, testing, and implementation of mechanical and fluid handling systems. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the project lifecycle, including design, documentation, testing, commissioning, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, piping, and related equipment.
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prepare engineering documentation such as BOMs, equipment lists, manuals, and technical submittals.
- Assist with equipment testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, service, and engineering teams to support project execution.
- Travel to customer sites for installation support, training, and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-5 years of engineering, manufacturing, internship, co-op, or field experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, valves, piping, and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interest in pursuing EIT/PE licensure preferred.
- Ability to work onsite and travel up to 50%.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mundelein, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
