Plumbing Designer - REMOTE For Midwest Residents

A Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering Consulting firm located in the western suburbs of Chicago is looking to add a Plumbing Designer to their team. We are looking for a motivated Plumbing Designer who can handle plumbing design independently for small-mid scale buildings, and assist our mechanical team at times when the workload calls for it. Hybrid work will be offered for this opportunity.

Job Description

• Responsible for designing plumbing and mechanical/HVAC systems for retail, restaurant, and commercial projects
• Main responsibility will be to lead plumbing designs, but will assist with HVAC drawings on an as needed basis
• Attend kick off meetings with clients
• Code research
• Perform field surveys of existing buildings conditions
• Produce load calculations

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in a related field minimum
• 5+ years of experience as a Plumbing Designer
• AutoCAD proficiency
• Ability to produce plumbing and HVAC drawings independently
• Knowledge of building codes
