Restoration Technician
Job Summary
The Restoration Technician is a first responder for property damage in homes and businesses. You’ll help restore buildings and contents affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, storms, and other environmental issues. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and customer‑focused.
Service area: Northern Suburbs into Southern Wisconsin
Key Responsibilities
- Water mitigation — extraction, drying, dehumidification
- Fire and smoke cleanup — cleaning and restoring affected areas
- Mold remediation — microbial cleanup, demolition, debris removal
- Content handling — packing, moving, and inventorying items
- Job site support — setup, breakdown, equipment management
- Emergency response — participate in on‑call rotation
- Customer service — remain calm, respectful, and reassuring during stressful events
Essential Skills
- Construction or labor experience (carpentry, restoration, general labor)
- Hand and power tool proficiency
- Demolition and cleaning ability
- Emergency‑response readiness
Additional Qualifications
- IICRC certifications (training available)
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Comfortable in varied conditions: humidity, debris, confined spaces, heights
- Able to lift 25+ lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork mindset

Work Environment
This is a field‑based role at residential and commercial sites affected by water, fire, storms, or environmental damage.
Schedules may include nights, weekends, and emergency call‑outs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
