Description
• Lead a team of Sales professionals to grow sales and capture new business.
• Build solid relationships with customers, vendors and distributors, as well as internal sales and marketing teams.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
• Review and make suggestions on sales volume and product mix by keeping current with changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
• Develop sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of the new product launches, including outlining new customer prospecting strategies.
• Help guide marketing efforts by presenting market/competitive information to marketing team and suggests strategies to expand market opportunities.
• Assess current marketing and sales programs and recommend improvements as needed.
• Prepare documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy marketplace/customers’ needs.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
• Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
• Manages key client relationships and work to build new ones.
• Expand the profile and reach of the company and its brands.
• Build strong relationships with sales, marketing, customer-service and management teams.
• Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.
• Build cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth.
• Track emerging markets and trends.
• Foster and work to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.
• Propose and where appropriate or relevant, develop strategic partnerships.
• Help to shape the company’s long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
• Research and identify new markets.
• Provide advice on product development, distribution and promotion strategies.
• Conduct presentations to raise the brand or product profile.
• Present business or marketing opportunities to company management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 4+ years of business development experience within the epoxy or resin industry
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing sales reps
- Experience building sales strategy for new product launches
Nice Haves:
- customer contact list/book of business within the resin industry
- CRM systems
