Job Description
Join a leading fabricator of structural steel joist and deck building systems as a Detailer. Based in Fort Wayne, IN, you will transform customer drawings into detailed AutoCAD 2D plans, coordinating closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities
- Convert customer drawings into detailed AutoCAD 2D plans for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve issues and ensure project delivery.
- Manage 5-6 projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.
- Utilize proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-ins to enhance detailing processes.
- Participate in reviewing drawings with Team Leads and ensure quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or related industries.
- Understanding of structural loads and connections.
- Ability to review and approve decking design drawings and connections.
- Familiarity with the approval process for designs and project management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in joists and/or decking design.
- Leadership or training experience.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Flexible mindset with the ability to adjust to daily tasks.
- Goal-oriented and deadline-driven with strong accountability for results.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
