Job Title: Industrial Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This 1st shift Industrial Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician role supports a tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility by maintaining and repairing a wide range of CNC and industrial equipment. You will focus primarily on reactionary maintenance with a smaller portion of preventative maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime for production equipment such as cold formers, hydraulic presses, heat treatment equipment, CNC lathes, machining centers, drill centers, grinders, rolling and gear cutting machines, and projection welding equipment. The position is fully on-site in Greenfield, Indiana and requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills in a high-volume automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day industrial maintenance on production equipment, focusing on approximately 90% reactionary maintenance and 10% preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and machining centers, to minimize production downtime.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks on all plant equipment (excluding HVAC, which is outsourced) according to established schedules and procedures.
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, including rebuilding machinery, repairing and replacing gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, and other mechanical components.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on 480V, 3-phase systems, including motors, sensors, VFDs, electrical wiring, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot PLCs using a computer or laptop, including ladder logic, parameter edits, relays, timers, switches, and related control components.
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective maintenance solutions.
- Replace and adjust sensors, address coolant and flow issues, and change filters as part of routine and corrective repairs.
- Handle complex repairs such as rebuilding spindles and replacing bearings on CNC and other rotating equipment.
- Work safely around high-voltage electrical systems, moving machinery, and production equipment while adhering to plant safety procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Collaborate with production, machining, finishing, and other departments to coordinate maintenance work and support efficient operations.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support reliability and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
- Work required overtime, including 10–15 hours per week and every other Saturday, to support production needs and equipment uptime.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Total would be $50 or $75 monthly for all insurance We offer basic life insurance and Short Term Disability at no charge to the employee. 1st of the month after 60 days she would be eligible for 401k. We match dollar for dollar up to 5% and are fully vested after 3 years We offer 80 hours of PTO per year. It is prorated depending on when she would start.
