What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Builder, you'll help assemble and integrate highly automated OEM machinery from the ground up.
Daily Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of large custom OEM equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and schematics
- Install bearings, shafts, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and structural components
- Align and integrate machine assemblies
- Install and wire electrical devices including sensors, switches, photo eyes, motors, and control components
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during build and startup
- Take measurements using precision measuring instruments
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning activities
- Work alongside engineers and production teams to complete machine builds on schedule
- Participate in machine breakdown, shipment preparation, and final inspections

Required Qualifications
- Machine building, millwright, or industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Experience with mechanical assembly and equipment installation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong safety mindset and professional attitude

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
