Job Title: Automation Controls Technician
Responsibilities
- Maintain and service labeling equipment, thermometers, cold formers, and vision inspection systems to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
- Support upgrades and improvements to material handling equipment (MHE) and APS control systems to enhance throughput and system performance.
- Oversee work on 400-amp cabinets, transfer switches, and Pick system robots, ensuring safe and compliant operation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and automated warehouse equipment.
- Support PLC-controlled systems used in automated distribution or warehouse environments, including programming adjustments and logic review as needed.
- Work with power generation equipment and Delta control systems to maintain reliable power and controls functionality.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, including low-voltage wiring, testing, and repairs on control panels, sensors, and field devices.
Essential Skills
- Strong electrical expertise, including experience with low-voltage wiring, testing, and repairs.
- Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled systems in automated distribution or warehouse environments.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and PLC troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley platforms.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, and automated warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work with 400-amp cabinets, transfer switches, and power generation equipment safely and effectively.
- Proficiency using multimeters and other diagnostic tools to test circuits, sensors, and components.
- Experience with controls and automation troubleshooting, including identifying faults in PLC-based systems.
- Practical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial or automation setting.
- Experience with mechanical systems and mechatronics related to automated equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Military Experience that brings discipline, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Delta control systems and related power generation equipment.
- Experience in automation, electrical maintenance, and maintenance management or supervision.
- Experience with vision inspection systems, labeling equipment, thermometers, cold formers, and Pick system robots.
This is a Permanent position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $79040.00/yr.
