What You'll Be Doing
This is far more than a typical maintenance position. You'll work alongside an experienced technician performing a variety of projects, including:
- Facilities maintenance and repair projects
- Light carpentry and fixture installation
- Furniture assembly and commercial build-outs
- Drywall patching, repairs, and finishing
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Basic plumbing repairs and fixture replacements
- Lighting and minor electrical repairs
- TV mounting and equipment installation
- Demolition and remodeling support
- Building shelves, trim work, and small custom fixtures
- General upkeep and improvements to commercial facilities
- Loading materials, organizing tools, and preparing job sites

What We're Looking For
- Experience in facilities maintenance, carpentry, construction, remodeling, or handyman work
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively

Schedule
Night Shift
- Monday Night through Friday Morning
- Start times typically between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM
- End times generally between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM
- No weekends currently required
This schedule is ideal for candidates who enjoy having their days free while working consistent overnight hours.
Work Environment
You'll work primarily indoors at commercial facilities, partnering with an experienced technician to complete maintenance and improvement projects. Every project offers a new challenge, making this an excellent fit for someone who enjoys staying active, working with tools, and learning new skills.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
