Job Title: BOM & Data Support Specialist
Job Description
A manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented BOM & Data Support Specialist to maintain, validate, and improve product and manufacturing data within SAP and other ERP systems. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of bills of materials (BOMs) and product recipes following a recent system implementation, supporting ongoing data verification efforts, and providing administrative support across engineering, quality, and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate bills of materials (BOMs) and product recipes within SAP to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compare current ERP data against legacy system information to confirm consistency and identify any discrepancies.
- Support ongoing data maintenance and updates related to material sourcing, priorities, and product changes.
- Identify data issues and discrepancies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
- Maintain organized records and documentation related to product and manufacturing data.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on data integrity and system accuracy.
- Perform general administrative tasks in support of engineering, quality, and manufacturing operations.
- Conduct accurate data entry and updates within SAP and other ERP systems as required.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of administrative experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience using an ERP system in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs) and product recipe structures.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms for data review and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and apply them effectively.
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and records.
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional internal stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience providing administrator support in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in data entry and data validation related to engineering, quality, or manufacturing operations.
- Ability to support continuous improvement efforts focused on system and data integrity.
- Comfort working with multiple systems and transitioning between legacy and new ERP platforms.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment and supports engineering, quality, and production operations. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, providing a regular weekday work pattern. Work is primarily performed in an office or administrative setting within the facility, using SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, to review and maintain product and manufacturing data. The environment emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with internal teams, and adherence to established processes and documentation standards.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
