Job Title: Field Engineer
Job Description
This Field Engineer position supports construction projects across the country, with a focus on electrical systems within the construction and oil and gas sectors. The role involves working onsite for extended rotations, ensuring that field engineering activities are executed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite at construction projects across the country, supporting day-to-day field engineering activities.
- Apply field engineering practices to support construction and electrical work, particularly within the oil and gas sector.
- Coordinate with onsite teams to ensure that construction and electrical tasks follow project specifications and standards.
- Monitor field conditions and report any issues, risks, or deviations from plans to the appropriate project personnel.
- Support the implementation of construction plans, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule and quality expectations.
- Assist with technical problem-solving in the field, helping resolve construction or electrical issues as they arise.
- Document field activities and maintain accurate records related to construction and engineering work.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by following site safety procedures and promoting safe work practices.
Essential Skills
- Experience working as a Field Engineer on construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction practices and field engineering processes.
- Understanding of electrical systems in a construction environment.
- Experience working on projects in the oil and gas sector.
- Ability to work onsite for extended periods on a rotational schedule.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with onsite teams and reporting field conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or training as a Field Engineer.
- Experience supporting both construction and electrical work in field environments.
- Familiarity with field operations in oil and gas projects.
Work Environment
This role is fully onsite at construction project locations across the country. The schedule follows a rotational pattern of three weeks on and one week off. The company provides lodging during onsite rotations and offers a daily per diem of $65. The work takes place in active construction environments, often within the oil and gas sector, requiring adaptability to changing site conditions and adherence to site safety practices.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colwich, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
