Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team where you will work under the direct supervision of a crew leader to learn essential skills in the fabrication of precast concrete products. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a variety of construction tasks while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and oil forms for concrete structures.
- Lay mesh and tie reinforcing bars and steel.
- Set inserts and strike off surfaces.
- Strip forms and clean up work areas.
- Show consistent improvement in utilizing construction skills.
- Remain involved in productive work throughout the day and inform the Crew Leader of availability for additional tasks.
- Attend work regularly and on time, adhering to company policy.
- Demonstrate loyalty to the company and mutual respect for other personnel.
- Function as a team player and seek ways to improve work processes.
- Maintain plant safety in line with the Safety Manual and guidance from the Safety Coordinator.
Essential Skills
- General labor experience in construction and hand tool usage.
- Concrete handling and assembly.
- Proficiency with power tools and tape measures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and metal forms.
- Ability to assist with concrete placement, vibration, finishing, and curing.
- Skill in installing embeds, insulation, rebar, and hardware according to drawings.
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to assist with loading, rigging, or moving panels.

Work Environment
Work in an indoor/outdoor, non-climate-controlled concrete facility. The shift runs from 7 am to 3 pm/5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
