Job Title: Clinic Nurse


Job Description

As a Clinic Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, instructing patients on the collection of necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals. You will notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, and educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions. Additionally, you will manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examinations. Scheduling tests and treatments, arranging referrals to specialists, and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider are also part of your duties.


Responsibilities

  • Manage efficient flow of patients, including screening and preparation for exams.
  • Instruct patients on the collection of necessary samples/tests and obtain vitals.
  • Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examinations.
  • Schedule tests and treatments, arrange referrals to specialists, and obtain pre-authorizations as directed by the provider.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in OB/GYN, triage, and case management.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Experience in physician clinic or ambulatory care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hospital, physician clinic, or specialty clinic.
  • Experience in OB/Women's health is a plus.
  • Experience with EcW or any electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Candidates should be open to traveling to various locations, including Roe, Lee Summit, and Belton. The position offers a dynamic clinic setting where you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
