Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for engineering industrial manufacturing equipment, including electrical system design, PLC/HMI programming, project management, and providing manufacturing support. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Assemble electrical system bill of materials
• Develop and implement control programs for industrial PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
• Meet established deadlines through successful project management and scheduling
• Support customers with machine troubleshooting
• Manage electrical department of 7 electricians, fabricators, and panel builders
• Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team on the design of machine functions and operations
• Support research and development projects
• Limited travel for installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites

Essential Skills

• Programming experience with Rockwell and Schneider Electric control systems and software
• 2+ years of experience designing electrical power and control systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD preferred

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical system design, PLC/HMI programming, and project management
• Ability to develop and implement control programs for industrial PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
• Experience in assembling electrical system bill of materials

Work Environment

This role is situated in a manufacturing environment where you will need to be open to working on the floor with the team to ensure product design, R&D, and drawings are accurate. You will work closely with the electrical team and have leadership opportunities as you progress within the company.
