We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Entry-Level Sewer Inspector to join our team in Kansas City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting sewer systems to ensure they are functioning properly and comply with safety standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the city's infrastructure and preventing environmental hazards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of sewer lines and systems for signs of damage, blockages, or wear and tear.
• Record and document the conditions of the sewer systems for future reference and analysis.
• Identify the cause of sewer system problems and develop solutions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations during inspections.
• Prepare reports of findings, including recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with other teams or departments for any repair and maintenance work required.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, or city officials regarding sewer system conditions and required work.

Essential Skills

• General construction knowledge and ability to read sewer plans.
• Experience with sewer inspection and stormwater drainage.
• Knowledge of soil compaction.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater management systems and regulations.
