Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This Electrical Engineer role focuses on designing and developing analog and digital electronics for motors, actuators, and related electromechanical products in a high‑reliability environment. You will support the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and circuit design through simulation, prototyping, testing, qualification, release, and sustaining engineering. The position requires a hands-on engineer who can collaborate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, test, and customer teams while delivering robust, manufacturable electronic drive and interface solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for electromechanical motors, actuators, and associated control and interface electronics.
- Develop electronic drive solutions that meet motor product requirements and customer interface needs.
- Perform detailed circuit design activities, including simulation, component selection, derating analysis, and design trade studies to ensure reliability and manufacturability.
- Oversee and review PCB layout activities to ensure electrical performance, packaging compatibility, and adherence to design intent.
- Support the complete product lifecycle from concept through release, including integration, prototyping, testing, qualification, and sustaining engineering.
- Work hands-on with prototype hardware to perform troubleshooting, verification, and design refinement.
- Conduct FMEA and reliability analyses to support product development and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, manufacturing, quality, test, and customer-facing groups, to ensure successful product delivery.
- Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation and design records throughout the development process.
- Support both new product development and sustaining engineering activities for existing products.
- Participate in customer technical discussions and reviews as needed to address requirements and design considerations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–7 years of current experience in analog and digital circuit design for electromechanical, motion-control, motor, actuator, or similar high-reliability products.
- Proven experience with electronic drives and interface electronics for electromechanical products.
- Strong experience in circuit design, simulation, and component selection, including derating considerations and design trade studies.
- Hands-on experience with prototype hardware, including troubleshooting and test support.
- Experience supporting products from concept through release and sustaining engineering.
- Proficiency with schematic capture, board-level design practices, and PCB layout review.
- Experience performing FMEA and reliability analysis in support of product development.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to support both new development projects and sustaining work for existing products.
- Ability to meet export-control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
