Job Title: Project Engineer


Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related aviation field and 7-10 years of customer-facing experience. Strong program/project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the internal technical interface between engineering and the customer, either directly or through the sales account manager.
  • Create, collect, consolidate, and summarize technical data to meet customer requirements and deliverables.
  • Drive projects to meet company and engineering time, cost, and requirements targets.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for intellectual property in accordance with company policy.
  • Support new sales efforts by reviewing proposal requirements and determining compliance.
  • Work closely with engineering project managers and teams to assess status and represent progress to sales account managers and customers.
  • Provide product-level expertise on functions, features, qualifications, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the proposal process to completion.

Essential Skills

  • ITAR Compliant
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related aviation field
  • 7-10 years of customer-facing experience
  • Strong program/project management skills
  • Understanding of or experience with electrical and electromechanical products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aviation certification and qualification topics
  • Familiarity with aviation standards such as RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, MILSTD-461

Work Environment

The position is based on-site, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM as a direct employee. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging in a dynamic and interactive environment.
