Test Technician

$28-30/hour

2nd shift: 2:30pm-11pm

Job Description

Test Technicians will support our program on the second shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM). This role involves setting up tests, installing sensors, calibrating instrumentation, and working on machines within a shop environment. The technicians will collaborate with test engineers to ensure the reliability and durability of new concept machines, primarily skid steers and compact track loaders.

Responsibilities

• Set up tests on machines, including installing strain gauges and routing wires.
• Calibrate and install sensors and instrumentation on machines.
• Follow engineering drawings and work orders to set up tests.
• Assist in the setup of hydraulic and electrical components for testing.
• Work closely with first shift engineers to ensure seamless continuation of tasks.
• Utilize basic computer programs for data acquisition systems.

Essential Skills

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with stress, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic software knowledge.
• Ability to work on machine testing and validation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Flexibility to work second shift and adapt to travel requirements if necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with on-machine testing and validation.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation calibration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
