Job Description
The Deburr Operator performs precise manual and mechanical deburring on machined aerospace components to ensure all edges, holes, and surfaces meet strict blueprint, dimensional, and visual requirements. This role inspects in‑process and finished parts using precision measuring tools, interprets engineering drawings and GD&T, and supports quality and safety standards in a clean, climate-controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and mechanical deburring on machined aerospace components to ensure edges, holes, and surfaces meet blueprint and workmanship requirements.
- Inspect in‑process and finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional and visual conformance.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to ensure compliance with customer and aerospace standards.
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions in accordance with established quality procedures and AS9100 requirements.
- Handle, clean, and protect parts carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or defects during deburr and inspection processes.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and contributing to team-based problem solving.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and other team members to ensure parts flow smoothly through the deburr and inspection stages.
- 1–3 years of experience in quality-related work, inspection, or a similar manufacturing role.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspection and recognize surface defects, burrs, and nonconformances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and basic GD&T.
- Understanding of quality control and quality assurance principles in a production environment.
- Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Basic production and assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience working with aerospace components or in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management system requirements.
- Strong communication skills to clearly document and report nonconforming conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
- Demonstrated reliability and consistency in meeting quality and productivity expectations.

This is a Contract position based out of Erlanger, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
