Description
This role is for someone who can own customer equipment issues in the field, figure out what’s wrong mechanically or electrically, and lead the effort to get it fixed by the right internal team. You are not just tracking projects — you’re helping diagnose problems, deciding who needs to fix them, and managing the solution all the way through with the customer involved. What You’ll Be Responsible For Be the main point of contact for customers when equipment issues or service projects come up Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to help assess problems firsthand Use your mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand what’s going wrong with machines in the field Work with Service, Engineering, and other teams to determine who should fix the issue and how Take full ownership of service projects from start to resolution Coordinate parts, labor, engineering updates, and timelines work with cross functional teams (customer, aftermarket, field service techs) Communicate clearly with customers around status, timelines, and expectations Help manage and improve how machines perform in the field Identify recurring issues and share insights to support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives diagnose problem and come up with a plan We’re looking for someone who: Has strong mechanical and electrical experience Has at least 3+ years of experience in a technical, service, or project‑ownership role Holds an engineering degree OR has 5+ years of hands‑on technical experience Has experience owning projects, not just supporting them Is comfortable being customer‑facing and managing conversations professionally Understands Lean / Six Sigma concepts and uses them to improve processes Is confident working with machines and equipment in the field Can coordinate across teams and keep projects moving forward
