The Mechanical Assembler builds and prepares conveyor and carousel systems by following detailed engineering drawings and Unit Build Instructions. This role assembles components, tests conveyor motors and belting, and prepares equipment for shipment while maintaining a clean, organized shop environment.
Responsibilities- Assemble conveyor and carousel components according to specific drawings, Unit Build Instructions (UBI), and layout drawings.
- Test conveyor motors to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Track and test conveyor belting on queue conveyors to verify correct installation and functionality.
- Palletize and crate conveyors and carousel components in a manner appropriate to each job and shipment requirement.
- Assist with checking in incoming shipments to verify quantities and condition of materials.
- Support the shipping of outgoing orders by preparing, organizing, and staging assembled equipment and components.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shop and warehouse environment.
- Use hand tools and power tools correctly and safely during assembly and testing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and related documentation to ensure accurate assembly.
- Collaborate with team members to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a shop or warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings for mechanical assemblies.
- Basic understanding of electrical assembly concepts related to conveyor systems.
- Strong time management skills, including managing one's own time and coordinating tasks with others.
- Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to evaluate options and solve problems effectively.
- Comfort working in a warehouse and shop environment around mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Attention to detail when following build instructions and preparing equipment for shipment.
- Ability to work effectively on a day shift schedule with overtime when needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
