About the Role
We are hiring a Patient Access Specialist to support a fast‑paced healthcare operations team. This role focuses on administrative, clerical, and customer support related to patient records, billing documentation, and internal requests.
This is a strong entry‑level opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in healthcare administration, medical records, and hospital support services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Process requests for medical records, EOBs, UB‑92 forms, and itemized statements
- Sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and documentation
- Support claims processing and billing documentation workflows
- Manage work queues and complete assigned tasks in internal systems
- Perform general office duties (filing, scanning, indexing, data entry)
- Handle documentation requests from internal and external teams
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all tasks
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience in healthcare or patient access
- Exposure to EPIC or similar systems
- Data entry or 10‑key experience
- Customer service experience in a medical setting
Schedule & Work Environment
- 100% on‑site in Mount Sterling, KY
- Shift options may include:
- Early shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Office/healthcare setting with a team‑based environment
- Fast‑paced workflow with high daily volume
Additional Requirements
- Background check required
- Drug screening required
- Pre‑employment health screenings and immunizations may be required

This is a Contract position based out of Mount Sterling, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.70 - $19.70/hr.
