Model Based Systems Engineer (Hybrid)

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000

Job Description

We are seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to guide development programs through the Systems Engineering process using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches that support DoD Digital Engineering goals. You will work closely with domain experts and software development teams to realize program designs and digital engineering goals.

Responsibilities

• Guide development programs through the Systems Engineering process using MBSE approaches.
• Implement rigorous MBSE approaches using SysML in Cameo/MagicDraw.
• Work closely with domain experts and software development teams to realize program designs and digital engineering goals.
• Implement traceability between MBSE model content and domain-specific analysis tools and simulation.

Essential Skills

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with SysML, UML and Cameo, Rhapsody or similar systems modeling tool
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with SysML models in Cameo or similar tool.
• Experience working with software-intensive systems and open architecture.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Domain expertise in areas such as Radar, Electronic Warfare, Acoustic, Sensor Resource Management, Sea/Air/Space, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).
• Experience with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).
• Familiarity with specific government open architectures (e.g., Open Mission Systems).
• Agile software development experience.
