Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler performs repetitive assembly, testing, and refurbishment operations in a manufacturing environment focused on pumps, service kits, motors, drive couplings, and related high-precision components. Working under close supervision, this role assembles, tests, and packages components using appropriate fixtures and tooling, and handles products made from a variety of materials including stainless steel, ceramics, and plastics such as acrylic and PEEK.
Pay: $20/hr + overtime available
Shift: First (1st) shift: 4:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Thursday
Responsibilities
- Perform bench assembly operations on pump heads, service kits, motors, and drive housings in a production environment.
- Refurbish units, bypass assemblies, and sub-assemblies, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
- Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required to achieve correct alignment and function.
- Test pump and motor assemblies using written test procedures, documenting results as needed.
- Rework faulty pump and motor assemblies, identifying issues and replacing parts when necessary to restore proper operation.
- Read and fully understand product sketches, engineering drawings, MCDs, and PCDs to perform accurate assembly and testing.
- Perform preventative maintenance on test equipment, including gauges, flow meters, and test stands, to ensure reliable performance.
- Transport parts to be tested and completed parts to the appropriate areas for shipping, stocking, or further processing.
- Determine product rejects for rework or scrap, complete required paperwork, and follow established quality processes.
- Participate in organizing and supporting statistical quality control activities to maintain and improve product quality.
- Use appropriate hand tools and follow cleanroom and production procedures when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort working with high precision products made from stainless steel, ceramics, and plastics such as acrylic and PEEK.
- Experience using hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
- Ability to follow cleanroom protocols and production standards when required.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in all assembly and testing activities.

The work environment centers on manufacturing and testing high-performance fluidic components and assemblies. The facility focuses on creating innovative solutions that maximize performance and enable complete optimization of the fluidic pathway. Product lines include column hardware, degassers, fluidic connections, manifolds, pumps, pump components, sensors, and valves. Work may involve production areas and cleanroom conditions, with regular use of hand tools, precision measurement devices such as micrometers, gauges, and flow meters, and test stands for pump and motor assemblies. The role requires close detail work, microscope inspection, and visual inspection of small parts and defects, in a setting that emphasizes precision, quality, and adherence to established manufacturing and testing procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
