Job Description
The Electronics Engineer will be a crucial part of the Research and Development organization, playing an essential role in the development of a groundbreaking robotic platform that is set to transform the future of healthcare. This position involves being a technical leader, resolving complex, multi-disciplinary issues, and developing technical processes and best practices for electrical engineering within a regulated medical device development environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and resolve complex multidisciplinary issues while adhering to best practices and thorough documentation.
- Develop, document, and maintain detailed processes and best practices for medical electronics development.
- Design, document, and execute electronic tests.
- Perform circuit analysis, including mixed signal, digital, and analog, with a focus on strong fundamentals and PCB testing.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure system performance is optimized.
- Systematically determine root cause of electro-mechanical system issues.
Essential Skills
- Strong fundamentals in electronics for analog, digital, and electromechanical design.
- Proficient in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, PCB, analog, digital, and test engineering.
- Experience with electronic design for motor control and mixed-signal electronic design.
- Highly proficient in electrical CAD tools, with Altium preferred.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Spice.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, MS or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D or product development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience developing Class II & III medical devices in a regulatory environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO and IEC standards.
- Strong technical collaboration skills and ability to drive discussions and decisions.
- Exceptional data analysis skills.
- Experience with EMC and electrical safety.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
