Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Development Technician to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test autonomous drive systems, including hardware and software components.
• Work closely with our mechanical engineering team to create and execute test plans, using expertise in mechanical engineering technology and spatial awareness.
• Perform hardware rework, prototype fabrication, and component testing according to work instructions and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a hardware and software perspective.
• Analyze test results, write test reports, and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases using functional requirements.
• Construct test fixtures and execute testing in a lab environment.
• Work with Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu) and proficiently utilize command-line interfaces.
• Utilize Python and shell scripting skills to automate testing and validation tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues.
• Author detailed test/bug reports and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Manage drive units and sensors, including new unit development and existing unit support.
• Design and execute tests for various scenarios, including low-light conditions and sensor testing.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Experience working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu or similar).
• Familiarity with hardware and embedded systems, electronics, and basic electronics lab equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
