Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Development Technician to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of autonomous vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test autonomous drive systems, including hardware and software components.
- Work closely with our mechanical engineering team to create and execute test plans, using expertise in mechanical engineering technology and spatial awareness.
- Perform hardware rework, prototype fabrication, and component testing according to work instructions and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a hardware and software perspective.
- Analyze test results, write test reports, and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases using functional requirements.
- Construct test fixtures and execute testing in a lab environment.
- Work with Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu) and proficiently utilize command-line interfaces.
- Utilize Python and shell scripting skills to automate testing and validation tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues.
- Author detailed test/bug reports and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Manage drive units and sensors, including new unit development and existing unit support.
- Design and execute tests for various scenarios, including low-light conditions and sensor testing.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
- Experience working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu or similar).
- Familiarity with hardware and embedded systems, electronics, and basic electronics lab equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience in mechanical testing and test engineering.
- Proficient in the use of Solidworks and test equipment.
- Knowledge of material handling and mechanical systems.
