Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

The software engineer will be responsible for creating software designs based on system requirements and developing code to meet planned schedules. They will perform unit and integration testing to ensure correct functionality while adhering to established CMMI work procedures and rigorous coding standards. The engineer will design, code, test, integrate, and document software of high complexity.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in C, Python, and Java.
• Experience with Linux and embedded systems.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 3-4 years of experience.
• Low-level embedded experience.
• Design and development of software systems in a Linux environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with OS development.
• Server provisioning and deployment on RHEL systems.
• Experience with radio frequency engineering, software-defined radio, and RF communications.
• Experience with link-level development.
• Understanding of containerization in Linux.
• Experience with virtualization or virtual machines.

Work Environment

The position requires full-time onsite work with potential flexibility for a 9/80 schedule around core hours. The role involves working on high-reliability systems that save people's lives, which offers a meaningful impact and rewarding work experience.
