Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on building and testing electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and related components using hand tools, diagrams, and schematics. You will perform crimping, pinning, soldering, and wiring tasks to assemble high-quality electrical and electronic products in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical assembly of wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to diagrams, schematics, and written instructions.
- Cut wires to specified lengths and work with a range of wire sizes from 2 AWG to 22 AWG.
- Crimp and pin terminals onto wires using appropriate hand tools and connectors.
- Assemble and connect terminals, connectors, and components to build complete harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Perform soldering on electrical and electronic components as required for assembly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
- Assemble and work with printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic assemblies as needed.
- Use a variety of hand tools and production equipment to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Inspect and test wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical components to verify proper function and quality.
- Follow production procedures and safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, including working with wire sizes from 2 AWG to 22 AWG.
- Hands-on experience with crimping and pinning terminals and connectors.
- Ability to perform soldering on electrical and electronic components.
- Experience in electronic assembly, including working with printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written instructions.
- Skilled in using hand tools and basic production tools for electrical and mechanical assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard assembly procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical assembly in addition to electrical assembly.
- Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with testing methods for wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Comfort working with both electrical and electronic components.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first-shift schedule, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, providing a four-day workweek. Work takes place in a newer facility that opened approximately two years ago, offering a clean, modern production environment. You will work on a production floor using hand tools and standard assembly equipment to build electrical and electronic components.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
