The Architectural Drafter uses an architect’s specifications to create detailed drawings for buildings and interiors, supporting the entire design process from early concepts through construction documentation and administration. This role combines strong architectural drafting skills, CAD proficiency, and problem-solving ability to deliver complete, accurate, and code-compliant construction documents for a variety of project types.
Responsibilities- Translate architect’s specifications and design intent into clear, detailed architectural drawings for buildings and interiors.
- Develop complete construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, in accordance with project requirements and standards.
- Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including proposal, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Produce and refine drawings, specifications, and calculations required for typical architectural projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as the architectural lead on assigned projects, coordinating design and documentation efforts across disciplines as needed.
- Act as a project manager on select projects if experienced and interested, overseeing scope, schedule, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with architects, designers, engineers, and other project team members to resolve design and technical issues.
- Apply extensive knowledge of CAD software and architectural drafting tools to improve efficiency and quality of project deliverables.
- Identify and solve design and documentation problems proactively, recommending practical, buildable solutions.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with internal team members and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.

This role is based in a professional architectural and design studio environment. The position will likely begin as full-time on-site to support onboarding and collaboration, then transition to a hybrid schedule with one day per week remote work. You will work with CAD and other architectural drafting tools on a steady backlog of projects in a rapidly growing company, offering significant opportunities for career growth and expanded responsibilities.
