Material Handler, Start Immediately ,Weekly Pay
The Material Handler supports production and installation teams by receiving, organizing, moving, and issuing materials required for vehicle modification and upfitting operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring parts, tools, and materials are available, accurate, and delivered on time to support efficient build schedules and high‑quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Inventory
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and hardware against packing lists and purchase orders
- Move, stage, and deliver parts and materials to production, fabrication, and installation areas as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper labeling, storage, and tracking of materials
- Perform material transfers, kitting, and part picking to support vehicle modification and build schedules
Production Support
- Issue materials to technicians and installers based on work orders or build plans
- Stage kits and components for vehicle builds, retrofits, and custom modifications
- Remove excess materials and return unused parts to inventory
- Communicate shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies to supervisors or purchasing
Warehouse & Facility Operations
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts (as applicable)
- Organize warehouse and stockroom areas to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits
- Follow safety guidelines when handling heavy, sharp, or electrical components
Required
- Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or production support roles
- Ability to read work orders, part numbers, and basic technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing or shop environment

$18/HR
7:30am-4:00pm

This is a Contract position based out of District Heights, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
