C# Software SCADA Programmer!
Job Description
80% of this job is performing software programming for Scada systems. You will also be installing, configuring, and commissioning of SCADA systems for power distribution and generation facilities. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, database management, and system backups. Monitor SCADA systems for performance issues and troubleshoot hardware or software problems as they arise. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement system upgrades or modifications. Provide training and technical support to end-users on SCADA system operation and maintenance. Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions. Document all activities, including installation procedures, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting steps. Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while working in field environments. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to power SCADA systems.
Responsibilities
- Programming in C#, C++, C, Python and/or VBA
- Install, configure, and commission SCADA systems for power distribution and generation facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, database management, and system backups.
- Monitor SCADA systems for performance issues and troubleshoot hardware or software problems as they arise.

Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SCADA, PLC programming, and Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Modbus or DNP protocols.
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, and VBA programming languages.
- Strong understanding of power SCADA systems and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with Power SCADA systems in a field technician role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in PLC ladder logic, scripting, protection relay configuration, and familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, GE Proficy, Siemens WinCC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work outside of normal business hours when necessary.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
