- Lead circuit and system-level design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Perform simulation, analysis, and verification using tools such as AWR, SPICE, MATLAB, and other industry-standard EDA software, including performing RF chain analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Generate detailed design documentation including schematics, BOMs, test plans, and design justifications for compliance and audits.
- Support prototype development, bring-up, and hardware debugging in lab environments.
- Ensure designs meet defense standards for EMI/EMC, thermal, and reliability performance.
- Participate in proposal writing, technical planning, and customer presentations.
Essential Skills
- 15+ years of experience in mixed signal electronic design, preferably in defense, aerospace, or similar regulated industries.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, the person, Mentor Graphics).
- Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed digital design principles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.).
- US Citizenship & ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with defense-grade components, environmental qualification (MIL-STD-810), and reliability analysis a plus.
- Familiarity with DoD standards, export control (ITAR/EAR), and secure hardware design practices a plus.
- Knowledge of FPGA/SoC interfaces, embedded systems, or firmware development is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and high-security, focused on the defense sector. The position involves working with advanced technologies and equipment, ensuring adherence to defense standards. Collaborative work with cross-functional teams is essential, and the dress code is professional.
