Civil Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join a collaborative and well-established team with a strong reputation in the region. While our primary need is in our Germantown, MD office, we are very open to considering candidates located anywhere throughout Maryland who are excited about contributing to impactful land development projects.
In this role, you’ll be involved in a variety of project components, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, storm drain design, and right-of-way improvements—while working closely with both internal teams and external partners.
What You’ll Do
- Design and prepare engineering documents for stormwater management, sediment erosion control, and storm drain systems
- Perform technical calculations and manage standard design tasks
- Support and collaborate with Design Engineers and Technicians
- Work independently on assignments while maintaining high-quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, internal teams, and external consultants
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- 3–5 years of experience using Civil 3D on land development projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Additional Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- EIT (or actively working toward licensure within the next year) preferred
- Experience in roadway design, grading, stormwater management, and sewer systems
- Interest in growing into a project management role over time

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
