Embedded Software Engineer
Overview
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications with minimal supervision. This role involves working closely with hardware systems, developing embedded solutions, and contributing to full lifecycle software development in a lab-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications across multiple programming languages.
- Develop embedded software using C/C++ for microcontrollers and/or FPGAs.
- Create and maintain Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).
- Write and maintain:
- Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Technical specifications
- Test procedures
- Collaborate closely with hardware teams in a lab environment.
- Perform system debugging using lab equipment such as:
- Spectrum analyzers
- Digital oscilloscopes
Required Skills
- Strong experience with:
- C/C++ programming
- Embedded software development
- Linux / Embedded Linux environments
- Familiarity with:
- Microcontrollers and firmware development
- Debugging hardware/software systems
- Working knowledge of:
- Python, MATLAB
- SQL and database design
- Experience using lab testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
