Job Title: Lead Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to support a large school project in North Bethesda. This role involves managing multiple projects, developing project plans, coordinating with teams, crafting timelines, and communicating with stakeholders. The successful candidate will hold responsibility for risk management, monitoring progress, contract administration, and much more.

Responsibilities

• Manage project development, including planning, task definition, and resource coordination.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including contractors, project team, clients, designers, and engineers.
• Hold responsibility for risk management and monitor progress according to schedules.
• Support and handle 2-3 projects simultaneously.
• Administer contracts, manage change orders, and oversee procurements, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Secure and support permits, ensuring subcontractors have proper insurance.
• Oversee project progress and lead project meetings.
• Train and develop team members.
• Set project deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 8+ years of experience in construction, with at least 4 years as a Project Manager.
• Experience managing projects valued at $20+ million.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing 2-3 large projects ($25+ million) simultaneously.
• Experience leading teams.
• Proficiency in change management and project financials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 projects.
• Skills in design, RFI, estimation, and site development.

Work Environment

The candidate will be the lead Project Manager for Woodward High School in North Bethesda. The project includes adding a parking garage, amphitheater, and sports complex, and will last approximately 1.5 years. Work will be conducted 100% onsite or in the office, with no overnight work required. The company is a large general contractor in the area, family-owned, fast-growing, and offers opportunities for advancement. The team has great tenure, ranging from 4-12 years with the company.
