Job Title: CLIA Lab Technician

Job Description

The CLIA Lab Technician will work collaboratively with the General and Technical teams to ensure the success of department goals and efforts. The role requires a proactive approach to completing tasks and assignments, and the ability to report issues or problems to the General team. The technician will also participate in laboratory cleaning according to established SOPs and must possess troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities. This position will be performed under supervision, with an expectation to complete assigned duties in a timely manner and with acceptable quality.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sample accession, sample testing, and sample reporting.
• Perform routine proficiency testing.
• Conduct operational qualification on the instruments.
• Follow all lab policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CLIA, Q-PCR, Real Time PCR, and LIMS.
• Proficiency in using Liquid Handling systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is in a CLIA testing lab. There are two shifts available: Tuesday to Saturday and Wednesday to Sunday. The work environment promotes long tenure and offers great benefits once hired. Contractors are eligible for holiday pay. The company encourages internal promotions.
