Job Title: Assembly Mechanic
Job Description
- This role focuses on building and assembling hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery
- You will interpret blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, and apply strong mechanical aptitude to assemble manifolds, nozzles, and related components to precise specifications
Job Responsibilities
- Build and assemble hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery according to engineering prints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and assembly requirements
- Use hand tools such as hammers, hex key wrenches, torque wrenches and other basic tools to complete assemblies accurately and safely
- Assemble nozzles to manifolds, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and sealing
- Assemble insertion halves and verify proper assembly and operation
- Assemble valve gate cylinders to manifolds, following established procedures and torque specifications
- Solder wires to heating elements with care and precision to ensure reliable electrical connections
- Use temperature controllers to verify that assembled systems are functioning correctly and conforming to required parameters
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints with accuracy
- Proficient use of hand tools such as hammers, hex key wrenches, torque wrenches and similar tools in a mechanical assembly environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tool or machine building or a closely related mechanical assembly role
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience building tooling, molds, or similar precision assemblies
- Ability to use measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerance
This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
