Survey CAD Technician
Overview
Seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support transportation and municipal projects in Metro Detroit. This is an office-based role focused on survey production, data processing, and drafting using industry-standard CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform boundary and control calculations
- Process field survey and LiDAR data for CAD production
- Prepare construction layout calculations and survey drawings
- Work on DOT and municipal survey projects
- Use AutoCAD daily; support work in MicroStation and Civil 3D
- Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to meet project deadlines
- Maintain organized files and ensure quality standards
Requirements
- 2+ years of Survey CAD/drafting experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with MicroStation and/or Civil 3D
- Ability to process survey data and perform calculations
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- DOT project experience
- 3+ years of experience
- Surveying/Geomatics degree or licensure (or pursuing)
Work Environment
- Office-based role in Metro Detroit
- 40–50 hours/week with paid overtime
- 1 remote day/week after onboarding

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
