Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in program engineering and subsystem engineering. You will collaborate with the engineering community to ensure the team meets program milestones and manages deliverables for various stages. You will also be responsible for tracking and maintaining milestone deliverables for components and working closely with subsystem/component design release (DR) engineers to ensure deliverables are completed and loaded into appropriate systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering community to meet program milestones.
- Manage deliverables for various stages including V0, V1, FDJ, PEC, and FEC.
- Track and maintain milestone deliverables for components.
- Work closely with subsystem/component DR engineers to ensure deliverables are completed.
- Load deliverables into appropriate systems such as FEDE, VSEM, and 3DX.
- Learn and understand the functionality of every Body system.
- Summarize status and provide updates to management, platform, and program teams.
- Serve as the on-site systems engineer for early vehicle prebuilds.
- Conduct second-level issue triage after Vehicle Systems team analysis.
- Utilize CAN analysis tools such as CANoe and CANape, and power analysis scopes for current and voltage.
- Identify suspect subsystem/components and engage appropriate experts and teams.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CAN analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
- Product design and development skills.
- Proficiency in program management tools like Jira.
- System integration experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience in CAN analysis is required.
Work Environment
The position requires working Monday through Friday in an office setting. The role will involve the use of various systems and tools, including FEDE, VSEM, 3DX, CANoe, and CANape. Dress code and other work environment specifics are not specified.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46.06 - $50.66/hr.
