Job Title: Research Project Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-impact organizational restructuring initiative within a collaborative research partnership. This role will serve as a key liaison between multiple institutions, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and successful execution of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of coordination between partnering organizations, ensuring seamless collaboration
- Drive project execution, tracking timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure on-time completion
- Lead and support change management efforts associated with organizational restructuring
- Facilitate communication across stakeholders, including leadership, research teams, and operational staff
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to project goals
- Maintain documentation, status reporting, and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management and/or program management
- Strong experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, academic research)
- Understanding of research processes and terminology
- Experience managing research-related projects, ideally in clinical or scientific environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-changing environment and support organizational transformation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in clinical and/or pre-clinical research
- Experience working with Principal Investigators (PIs)
- Prior experience in academic or research institutions
- Familiarity with cross-institutional or collaborative project environments
Experience Level
- Mid-level (hands-on project leadership experience required)
This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.50 - $53.00/hr.
