Job Description
We are seeking dedicated CNC operators to join our night shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading parts, running programs, checking parts with gauges and tools, performing grinding and surface finishing, changing tools, and making minor offsets and pickups at machine controls.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.
- Utilize micrometers and gauges to measure and assure conformance and product quality.
- Complete and maintain all records and logs.
- Interrupt machine cycle as needed and restart.
- Calibrate gauges to master gauges provided.
- Reset dull or damaged cutters.
- Communicate problems to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Meet quality and production requirements.
- Provide feedback on process, work instruction, and quality performance/concerns.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Two years of recent CNC operator experience, with Mill or Lathe CNC machine experience.
- Experience utilizing quality tools, including gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment producing heavy parts, with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience with hand tools, mill, lathe, and inspection processes.

Work Environment
The work environment features newer machines in a building with dim lighting and a relatively quiet atmosphere. The facility was thoroughly cleaned in January. The dress code requires oil-resistant shoes or steel toes, no cutoffs, hats worn forward, and no loose clothing. The shifts are from 5 PM to 7 AM, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays and Sundays. Employees are entitled to a half-hour unpaid lunch and a paid 20-minute break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
