TEKsystems is looking to hire several Patient Care Coordinators for a large healthcare company out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Start date: 05/05/2025

Hours: Must be able to work 8a-5p, fully onsite

Must haves:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer navigation and typing proficiency
  • High School or GED preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • 3+ years of healthcare customer service
    • Must have the ability to diffuse tough situations and handle high volume of customer interaction along with the stress levels that come along with that.
    • Must be sympathetic and very patient as this clinic will be taking calls from primarily elderly individuals.
    • Must be able to multi-task.

Job description:

  • Will sit at the front desk, take inbound calls, greet guests and set patients up in a room for their scheduled appointment.
  • Work with customers/patients, assisting with walk-ins as needed.
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls, maintaining open communication with patients, referral sources, corporate and branch offices in other territories.
    • These calls can be transferred depending on where someone lives, which will be verified on the call.
  • Schedule and register patients promptly and courteously while recording accurate and complete patient documentation for the data forms.
  • Verify medical insurance information – the more familiar with a variety of insurances and their portals, the better!
  • Process orders in the system an maintain a current status on orders to be processed – this is where the multiphone calls will go outbound to customers.
