Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Wastewater Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift within an automotive manufacturing plant. The primary responsibility is to ensure the proper functioning of wastewater treatment equipment with the support of the maintenance department. This role involves material handling, moving barrels, and hooking up equipment in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. You will also conduct pH testing, write reports, and monitor levels of totes or drums to ensure sufficient product availability. Manual labor tasks include cleaning filters and plates, and managing sludge and waste disposal within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure wastewater treatment equipment is running properly with assistance from the maintenance department.
- Handle materials by moving barrels and hooking up equipment in accordance with HSE standards.
- Conduct pH testing and write reports.
- Monitor levels of totes or drums to ensure product availability.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning filters and plates.
- Manage sludge and waste disposal properly.
- Experience in wastewater treatment.
- Proficiency in material handling.
- Report writing skills.
- Background in a manufacturing plant.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Work Environment
This position operates on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12 Midnight, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The main work area is within the E-Coat line, and you will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager. Training during the first week offers flexible hours. The role requires a high degree of independence and involves getting muddy, cleaning, and transporting materials.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
