Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
- 3+ years of experience managing contractors or field staff in a commercial construction environment.
- Proficiency in commercial construction practices, including ground-up and commercial building projects.
- Hands-on skills in carpentry, framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, and steel stud installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on hospitals, hotels, schools, restaurants, and other large commercial buildings.
- Ground-up construction and commercial building projects.
- Familiarity with retail and mixed-use construction environments.
- Interest in growing into a project management role over time.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with contractors and field staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a close-knit, team-first culture where collaboration and mutual support are valued.
Job Description
The Construction Superintendent leads onsite operations for assigned commercial construction projects, overseeing installers and field employees from planning through completion. This role manages multiple carpenters across several jobsites, coordinates budgeting and scheduling activities, and ensures that contractors and field staff work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications. The superintendent also performs hands-on carpentry work when needed and upholds strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards to maintain a secure and well-organized construction site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandville, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00/hr.
