Job Description
This role focuses primarily on operating production machinery in a large, modern manufacturing facility, with additional responsibilities in basic packaging and material handling. You will train on first shift and then transition to other shifts as needed, supporting continuous operations across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Perform standard machine setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting to maintain smooth production flow.
- Handle packaging tasks, including preparing, packing, and labeling parts and boxes as required.
- Move parts, materials, and boxes throughout the plant, including between buildings and departments.
- Follow all clean room protocols, including wearing required garments and protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in line with 5S practices and departmental standards.
- Adhere to all safety rules, PPE requirements, and environmental guidelines at all times.
- Support production goals by flexing to different machines, tasks, and shifts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment status, production issues, and safety concerns.
- Complete required documentation and production records accurately and on time.
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience in a production or general labor role.
- Consistent work history with at least 6 months of tenure at each previous job.
- Ability to maintain continuous employment history without gaps longer than 30 days.
- Willingness to work in a PPE-required environment, including clean room conditions.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking long distances, and moving parts and boxes.
- Comfort with operating machinery and following detailed safety and operating procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality to support rotating and changing shift schedules.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to 5S practices.
- Experience in production and general labor environments.
- Ability to adapt to changing shift schedules, including first, second, third, and future 12-hour rotating day or night shifts.
- Comfort working in a temperature-controlled, brightly lit clean room environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including clean room garb and beard net if applicable.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to following standardized processes and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a large facility.

Work Environment
The role is based in an enormous manufacturing facility where you will walk frequently between buildings and across large production areas. You will work in a meticulously clean, temperature-controlled, and brightly lit clean room department that requires wearing specific garb and a beard net if applicable. The organization places a strong emphasis on 5S practices, cleanliness, and order. Initial training takes place on first shift (6:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays), followed by transition to second and third shifts in August, and then to 12-hour rotating day or night shifts in January. Personal protective equipment is required, and you will operate machinery and handle materials in a structured, safety-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
