JOB Description: Obtains all necessary information from customer supplied graphics file or assists customer with first time design for multi color graphics and prepares graphic files for production tooling. Assist with providing

color and print pre-press information to system for reliable costing and quotes. Works with Sales and Customer Service to provide customer timely proofs and mockups and coordinate the delivery. Assist the graphics specialists and

design manger as needed.

JOB RESULTS:

1. Performs each task in a manner that prevents bodily injury, equipment and product damage.

2. Follows the PCA Quality System policy, procedures, work instructions and specifications.

3. Maintains work area and equipment in a neat, orderly and clean manner.
  1. Works in an agreeable and cooperative manner with other employees.
  2. Stays up to date with new graphic materials, equipment and software applications
  3. Identifies and submits suggestions for increasing production efficiency, safety and quality.

Enters specifications and information into the computer (mac and or PC-CIMs)

Review customer art. Designs and/or modifies customer provided art to meet customer requirements

& PCA machine limitations

*Assists as requested with the coordination of ink request with ink kitchen, updating CIMs

with ink formula, cost and name. Collect finished drawdowns and distribute to

requestor or approver. File associated paperwork.

*Organize digital proofs in the digital print room for future reference

and purge in accordance with time limits.

*Provides assistance to PCA staff on graphic design, analysis, and answers questions on specifications

*Deliver printed samples as requested.

High School diploma with specialized studies at the college level or equivalent experience in package printing or prepress.

Proficient with Microsoft Office software including wor d , excel, power point

Experience with Graphic software using MAC and associated graphics software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop,

Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe InDesign, Esko ArtPro and Esko Artios CAD or equivalent.
Add, subtract multiply, divide, whole numbers and fractions, basic algebra and geometry
Read a tape measure accurately to 1/32"
Read, understand and follow written instructions
Ability to write such things as product identification tags, problem descriptions, quality reports, special instructions, etc.
Ability to read and understand all materials which any federal, state or local governmental body requires be given to or made

accessible to employees in writing.

It is normally expected that an individual newly assigned to this position can become fully qualified and proficient within 12 months of

progressively more responsible on-the-job experience

Package and ship samples via fedex as directed
