The company offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where colleagues work closely and communicate well with one another. Employees enjoy music playing throughout the entire shift, creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere. New hires receive a voucher to purchase quality steel-toe footwear, helping them get equipped for the job. There is a clear path for advancement, as every supervisor began in this role, providing real opportunities for growth and development. Strong attendance and reliability are recognized with regular pay increases once you transition to direct employment, rewarding consistency and commitment.
Work Environment
The facility is a large, 524,000-square-foot metals distribution and processing center that functions like a "grocery store for metals," providing custom-cut materials and next-day delivery to a wide customer base across North America. The building was completely gutted and reorganized in October, offering an updated, well-structured layout. The environment is industrial and active, with overhead cranes, cutting machines, and material-handling equipment in regular use. The facility can get hot in the summer, but controlled air systems help manage temperatures. Music plays throughout the shift, contributing to a lively, team-focused atmosphere. The role primarily supports second shift, typically from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with first shift running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekend work on Saturdays is optional and available for those who want extra hours. Steel-toe footwear is required, and the overall setting emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a strong, cohesive culture.
