This role works on a fast-paced production line, assembling materials, operating machinery, and preparing finished parts for shipment. You will rotate through different stations, including component assembly, line operation, and final inspection, ensuring that each part meets quality standards before it is boxed and shipped. The position is currently on third shift and requires the ability to work overtime and some Saturdays as production demands.
Responsibilities- Work on the production line to assemble materials and components according to established procedures and specifications.
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently while monitoring performance and addressing basic issues as they arise.
- Lift parts off the production line, perform visual inspections for defects such as scratches, paint marks, and dents, and ensure quality standards are met before packing.
- Place inspected parts into boxes and prepare them for shipment, maintaining accuracy and organization in packaging tasks.
- Rotate through various production positions and stations, adapting to different tasks and supporting team needs across the line.
- Perform general labor and manufacturing duties, including material handling, basic machine operation, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and quality control procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety controls.
- Collaborate with other operators on the line and communicate effectively with team members overseeing machine operations.
- Work third shift hours (10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) and be available for overtime, which may include starting up to 4 hours early, staying up to 4 hours late, and working some Saturdays.
- Support continuous production by maintaining consistent attendance and demonstrating reliability and longevity in the role.
- At least 6 months of recent manufacturing experience, currently working in manufacturing or having done so within the last 30 days.
- Recent experience in a production worker, machine operator, assembler, or warehouse role within the last 6 months.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis, including lifting plastic and foam hoods (stacked 5–6 high) and positioning them at the workstation.
- Visual inspection experience with the ability to identify defects on parts, such as scratches, paint marks, dents, and other imperfections.
- Demonstrated job stability, with 8 months or longer tenure at each of the past three jobs.
- Experience in general production, manufacturing, assembly, and general labor environments.
- Capability to perform quality inspection tasks accurately and consistently in a production setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components.
- Experience operating machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to work effectively on a third shift schedule (10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Reliability, strong attendance record, and willingness to work overtime and some Saturdays as required.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a plastic manufacturing facility that can be hot during the summer months. You will work alongside another operator, with an additional operator overseeing machine operations to ensure safe and efficient production. The position is on third shift, running from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with mandatory overtime currently in the form of 12-hour shifts for hourly employees and the possibility of starting early, staying late, and working some Saturdays. The dress code requires work pants, a work shirt, closed-toe shoes, and safety glasses. For safety reasons, long fingernails are not permitted, and all employees are expected to follow established safety controls and procedures at all times.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.95 - $16.95/hr.
