Job Description
We are seeking a BI Integration Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop user-experience guidelines to ensure consistency across our dashboards, build initial dashboard concepts to facilitate alignment with users, and interview users to document current dashboards for improvement plans. You will also manage incoming BI requests, providing stakeholders with clear visibility into their status, and turn business needs into technical requirements for BI and AI teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop user-experience guidelines for consistent dashboards.
- Build initial dashboard concepts to support early alignment with users.
- Interview users and document current dashboards for improvement plans.
- Manage incoming BI requests and provide stakeholders with clear visibility into their status.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for BI and AI teams.
- Collaborate with CSE stakeholders to align expectations and criteria.
- Work closely with domain experts to validate metrics and definitions.
- Coordinate efforts between dashboard and AI initiatives to avoid duplication.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Strong ability to gather requirements and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing workflows and request pipelines.
- Skilled at balancing user needs and technical possibilities.
- Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills.
- Organized, collaborative, clear communicator, proactive and motivated by helping teams.
- Deliver high-quality solutions.
- Learn by doing - hands-on experimentation and iteration.
- Embrace resilience - turn challenges into learning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in data/analytics engineering, BI dashboard development, analytical reporting and analysis, automotive or IoT product/software development, product development coordination, or technical project management.
- Experience gained through internships or college-related projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
